Community Level Cancer Awareness Programme at Saraswatinagar Sudhar Sangha, KMC-6
The Nepal Cancer Survivor's Society (NeCaSS) successfully conducted a Community Level Cancer Awareness Programme at Saraswatinagar Sudhar Sangha, Kathmandu Metropolitan City–6 (KMC-6), with the active participation of more than 85 women.
The programme aimed to increase awareness about cancer prevention, the importance of early detection, regular health screenings, and healthy lifestyle practices. It also encouraged participants to recognize common warning signs of cancer and seek timely medical consultation when needed.
The awareness session was led by a medical doctor and members of the NeCaSS team. Participants actively engaged in discussions, asked questions, and shared their experiences, making the programme informative, interactive, and impactful.
The Nepal Cancer Survivor's Society extends its sincere gratitude to NMB Bank Limited for its generous support and to the Mahila Samuha of Saraswatinagar Sudhar Sangha for providing the opportunity to conduct this valuable community awareness programme.
NeCaSS remains committed to empowering communities across Nepal through cancer awareness initiatives, educational programmes, and survivor support activities. By working together with local organizations and community groups, the Society continues to promote early detection, healthier lifestyles, and greater public awareness in the fight against cancer.
