One-Day Cancer Awareness Programme for Cancer Survivors in Suryabinayak Municipality | Nepal Cancer Survivor's Society
Nepal Cancer Survivor's Society (NeCaSS) proudly collaborated in a one-day Cancer Awareness Programme organized by Suryabinayak Municipality for cancer survivors from all 10 wards of the municipality.
The programme was conducted with the technical support of Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital and aimed to increase awareness about cancer, promote healthy lifestyles, encourage regular follow-up care, and strengthen the support network among cancer survivors.
Participants had the opportunity to learn from healthcare professionals, exchange experiences with fellow survivors, and gain valuable information on cancer prevention, survivorship, and overall well-being. The event also reinforced the importance of community collaboration in supporting individuals and families affected by cancer.
The Nepal Cancer Survivors' Society extends its sincere appreciation to Suryabinayak Municipality for organizing this important initiative and to Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital for providing technical expertise. Special thanks are also extended to Dr. Ujjwal Chalise, Director of Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital, for his valuable support and contribution to the programme's success.
NeCaSS remains committed to working with local governments, healthcare institutions, and community partners to promote cancer awareness, empower survivors, and improve the quality of life for people affected by cancer throughout Nepal.
